Overview

QueueTip is a product operated by CetePay, Inc., a Delaware corporation. This Privacy Policy explains how CetePay, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use QueueTip—the web-based immigration guidance product offered under the QueueTip brand—including its website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

QueueTip is a private product operated by CetePay, Inc. and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by USCIS, DHS, or the U.S. government.

QueueTip is an informational software product designed to help individuals organize immigration-related guidance, workflows, and official-source references. QueueTip is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you before any government agency. Nothing in this Policy changes that relationship.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the latest general revision. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical information from your device or browser. The categories below are described at a high level; not every user will provide every type of data.

  • Account and authentication data (e.g. email address, password hash, verification status, optional phone number).
  • Profile and preference information you choose to add (e.g. display name, language or reminder preferences).
  • Immigration workflow and case-related information you enter (e.g. receipt numbers, form types, notes, checklist progress, and similar user-provided context).
  • Communications you send us (e.g. support requests, feedback, or responses to optional surveys).
  • Billing and subscription identifiers when you purchase paid features (processed by our payment provider; we generally do not store full payment card numbers on our servers).
  • Technical and log data such as IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, and diagnostic events needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use information

We use information for the following purposes, consistent with applicable law and our role as an informational platform:

  • To create and maintain your account, authenticate you, and provide core QueueTip features.
  • To display and organize the guidance, reminders, and workflow tools you configure—including retrieving and presenting USCIS case-status information when you use QueueTip’s case-tracking features.
  • To send transactional communications such as security alerts, verification messages, billing receipts, and service notices.
  • To improve reliability, debug issues, monitor abuse, enforce our Terms, and protect the security and integrity of the Service.
  • To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims where permitted.
  • Where allowed and appropriately configured, to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve product design (we aim to minimize collection of unnecessary personal data).

Account and profile information

When you register, we collect the identifiers and credentials needed to operate your account. Optional profile fields help personalize your experience (for example, how we address you in-product or which reminders you prefer). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the accuracy of information you supply.

Case and workflow information you provide

QueueTip may allow you to store or track immigration-related details such as government receipt numbers, form types, milestones, notes, and similar information. This data is highly sensitive. You should only enter information you are comfortable storing in a cloud-based SaaS environment.

Government agencies—not QueueTip—make adjudicative decisions. You must independently verify deadlines, filing requirements, and official instructions with USCIS, DOS, or other competent authorities, and consult a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative when you need legal advice.

Technical, device, and log data

Like most online services, we automatically receive technical information from browsers and devices, which may include IP address, general location derived from IP, user agent strings, referrer headers, and operational logs. We use this information for security, fraud prevention, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

Depending on configuration, we may retain truncated IP addresses, hashed identifiers, or similar artifacts rather than indefinitely storing full raw logs, except where longer retention is needed for security or legal compliance.

Cookies, analytics, and session data

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and understand how the Service performs. Essential cookies are typically required for sign-in and security.

If we use optional analytics or marketing technologies beyond what is strictly necessary, we will describe them in product notices or cookie controls where required by law. You can usually manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function if you disable certain storage.

Communications

We may email or text you about account security, verification, billing, and important service changes. If we offer optional product updates or educational messages, we will provide appropriate controls where required (for example, marketing preferences in Settings).

You cannot opt out of certain transactional messages that are necessary to operate your account or comply with law, but you may be able to disable optional channels where the product supports it.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense of selling lists of individuals to data brokers. We disclose information only in the limited circumstances below:

  • Service providers and subprocessors who assist us in hosting, authentication, email delivery, SMS/verification, payments, analytics, error reporting, or infrastructure—subject to contractual obligations where feasible.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and continuity safeguards.
  • With your direction or consent (for example, if you ask us to share information with a third party).

Service providers

CetePay, Inc. uses third-party service providers to operate QueueTip. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Hosting and infrastructure: Netlify and cloud database providers (PostgreSQL-compatible).
  • Authentication and session management: Auth.js / Next.js session-based authentication.
  • Email delivery: SendGrid (transactional emails such as verification and alerts).
  • SMS and phone verification: Twilio (where enabled by the user).
  • Payments and subscriptions: Stripe.
  • Government data sources: USCIS case-status systems, when you use QueueTip’s case-tracking features.

These providers process information on our behalf under contractual obligations where applicable. We may add or replace subprocessors as we improve reliability and security; where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as data processing terms) with vendors that handle personal data on our behalf.

We evaluate vendors for reasonable security practices, but no service provider is immune to incidents. Their processing is governed by their own policies and our agreements with them, where applicable.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backups in the ordinary course of business.

When you delete your account (subject to any grace period described in our Terms), we will delete or de-identify personal information consistent with our technical environment and legal requirements, except where retention is necessary for security logs, financial records, or similar limited purposes.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit for supported connections, access controls for systems that host the Service, secure handling of credentials (for example, password hashing rather than storing plaintext passwords), and layered safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data you may store in QueueTip.

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for choosing a strong password, keeping devices secure, and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise rights that apply to you, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the age required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data protection laws than your home country. By using the Service, you understand and accept that cross-border transfer may be necessary to provide the Service.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, the Service, or our practices. We will update the Effective date and version identifier when we do. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-product banner) where required by law.

Your continued use of the Service after the Effective date of an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Policy, subject to applicable law and any rights you may have to object or withdraw consent.
